Terms of use
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Smithery Technology PLT, Malaysia ("we", "us"), which runs ACC Chat. By using ACC Chat you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use ACC Chat
You must be at least 13, or the minimum age in your country if that is higher. You must be allowed to use the service under the laws that apply to you.
Your account
- Your account lives on one phone at a time. Signing in on a new phone signs out the old one.
- You can link up to four other devices, such as a tablet, a computer or the web.
- Keep your devices, email and recovery code safe. You're responsible for what happens on them.
- Use your real contact details, and don't pretend to be someone else.
Using ACC Chat fairly
Don't use ACC Chat to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- share content that sexually exploits children, or that promotes terrorism or violence;
- bully, harass, threaten or stalk anyone;
- send spam, bulk or automated messages, or messages people haven't asked for;
- cheat people, or spread malware or phishing links;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trade marks or privacy;
- interfere with the service, get around its limits or security, or collect information about people by automated means.
End-to-end encryption means we can't read your messages, so we rely on reports. When someone reports a chat, our team sees what they choose to send us. We may warn, limit or close accounts that break these terms, and we cooperate with valid legal requests as the law requires.
Your content
What you send is yours. You give us only the permission we need to deliver and store it as the service works, for example to pass encrypted messages to the people you send them to, or to show your Broadcast posts to followers.
Broadcasts and businesses
- Broadcasts are public. Anyone can follow one and see its posts.
- Chats with businesses that use our Business API aren't end-to-end encrypted, and the chat tells you so. Each business is responsible for how it uses what you send it.
The service
- ACC Chat is free to use. Your mobile operator may charge for data.
- We work hard to keep ACC Chat running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features, and we'll tell you before stopping anything important.
- ACC Chat isn't for emergency calls. Contact local emergency services directly.
Our responsibility
We provide ACC Chat "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses you suffer from using it, such as lost messages or data, or for what other people send you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be excluded.
Ending your use
You can stop using ACC Chat and delete your account at any time (see Support). We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if the law requires us to.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. We'll let you know before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using ACC Chat afterwards, you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, unless the law of your country says otherwise.
